 A top rated book on Amazon, because it’s really the first book that actually makes using the Joomla Content Management System straight forward. The book is written by an actual Joomla consultant named Barrie North, which is a great start. He covers installation, administration, template development, site organization and content updates.
Having spent ages searching around forums for information, most people agree that one of the hardest concepts to grasp is that of Sections, Categories, and Articles in Joomla. The book is perfect for explaining this and author does a good job at leading you through this area.
The example case studies on a school, restaurant and blog site really bring the book to life. The interviews with existing owners of Joomla sites reveals some interesting Joomla add-ons that they are using, and more importantly, benefiting from.
